Kaia Gerber fronting Marc Jacobs Beauty campaign

Kaia Gerber has been tapped to star in the new campaign for Marc Jacobs Beauty.
The 15-year-old daughter of Cindy Crawford is well on her way to becoming a fully fledged model in her own right, having been snapped up by IMG and landing her first solo cover for British style magazine Pop last month (Aug16).
And she’s now scored her first beauty campaign, fronting the marketing imagery for Marc Jacobs Beauty for 2017.
“I’m so excited and honored that my first beauty campaign is with Marc Jacobs, an icon in the fashion industry,” Kaia told Allure.com. “I’m obsessed with his beauty products, and like everything else he does, Marc Jacobs Beauty makes you feel feminine and playful.”
The campaign was shot by photographer David Sims, with Diane Kendal on make-up duties and hair styling by Guido Palau.
In a behind-the-scenes snap from the upcoming campaign film, Kaia’s hair has been teased into a voluminous style, while her eyes are ringed with dark green eyeliner.
Kaia’s certainly having an exciting week, having been named the Breakthrough Model of the Year at The Daily Front Row’s Fashion Media Awards on Thursday night (08Sep16).
Cheered on by Cindy, her father Rande Gerber and brother Presley, Kaia said she was thankful her family had traveled to support her on the big night.
“It means so much to me that they came,” she gushed to Entertainment Tonight. “We live in L.A., so for them to fly to New York and it’s a busy time this year (during New York Fashion Week). So I am really honored that they came to support me.”
Balancing a busy modeling schedule with being a teenager isn’t always easy. But Kaia finds that her burgeoning success makes it all worthwhile.
“It seems like a lot, but I definitely need time to do normal teenage things,” she shared. “Even though I have to miss out on some things that normal teenagers do, this makes it all worth it.”
